WELCOME TO THE FUTURE!
Thank you for your interest in our community and for taking the time to visit our website.
We are a vibrant village of some 1200 people who enjoy a quiet rural lifestyle along with the benefits of easy access to Kamloops to the east, Cariboo cities to the north and with the Lower Mainland only 2- 3 of hours in driving time to the south through the very scenic and historic Fraser Canyon - the Gold Rush Trail.
Cache Creek, located at the busy intersection of Highway 1 (east and south) and Highway 97 North, grew up primarily as a highway service community serving the travelling public, providing an abundance of motels, restaurants and gas stations. Recent years have seen a greater diversity of local shops, businesses and enterprises which have enhanced the economic base and contributed to the growing spirit of the Village.
The area surrounding Cache Creek abounds with outdoor recreation opportunities for every interest. The hunting, fishing, hiking and biking activities are virtually right on your doorstep as are winter sports such as snowmobiling, cross country skiing and ice fishing. Regardless of your interests it won't take long to find people in the local area who are more than willing to include you in their circle of friends.
The official theme of Cache Creek is the 1950's, 1960's nostalgia era. Our annual celebration called "Graffiti Days" which takes place in June features old time drag races at the Eagle Motorplex six miles south on Highway 1, a car show at the Cache Creek Recreational Park, and activities for the whole family.
The Village Office is located at 1389 Quartz Road, where you will find our staff most pleased to answer any questions you may have, whether you are considering establishing a business in our community, looking for a friendly place in which to live or just visiting and wanting to know more about us.
If there is any way I or Council can be of help to you, please don't hesitate to contact us.
P.A. John Ranta
